Proposed Craps Bets:

For those who are not familiar with basic craps betting features, we will list them here:

The Pass Line Bet:

The most profitable, and therefore the most popular bet in craps is called pass line bet. One of the players by turn is throwing the dice. This player is called the shooter. If the dice come up with 7 or 11 on the first throw, the shooter and everyone who bet on him win. If the dice come up with 2, 3 or 12 on the first roll, all pass line bettors lose immediately. If the first roll indicates any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10) this number is called the point and the shooter throws the dice again until either the point number or 7 come up. If the point comes up before 7, pass line bettors win. Otherwise they lose. Winning a point, pass line bettors can make a bonus bet, called free odds bet. This bet is paid at real odds and is free of any house advantage.

The Craps Countdown:

This bet gives an opportunity for the pass line bettors to double their wager if the point is 5 or 9, and win their bet if after ten rolls neither their point number nor 7 have come up. An additional advantage of craps countdown is the 10 to 1 payoff if the point number comes up exactly at the tenth roll. Craps countdown surely makes the game more exciting, but it still leaves the probability to lose on any given turn, so we thought of another craps bet where players can not lose in one single turn.

The New Craps Bet:

This new system works as follows:
  • If the point number is 4 or 10, all pass line bettors get an option to double their bet, as in countdown.
  • If in the very next roll the shooter makes the point, the pass line bettors are paid four times their recently doubled bet.
  • If the second roll is a losing 7, the bettors do not lose, but get their bets back as they are. So the second roll of this bet is extremely favorable for the players. They can not lose, but can win four times their wager. To compensate this unbalance, after the second roll the shooter can not win anymore, if he rolls the point number, pass line bettors get their bets back and are not paid any money, but if he rolls a losing 7 they lose as usual. Another great feature of this bet is the ability to play hunch, which means betting on that something decisive (either the point number or 7) will happen on the next turn.
