Attorney General Jon Bruning has announced his intentions to file charges in five of Lincoln counties for possession of gambling facilities and second degree promoting gambling. The penalty for those charge come to six month arrest and or 1,000 dollars fine. Bruning office plans to file 77 charges in 13 cases.
The first case of the 13 planned cases was filed last Tuesday. Saunders County Court charged a business owner who supplied gaming machines to a local bar with second degree promoting gambling and two counts of possession of gambling facilities.
The other 12 cases will be filed on Thursday. The files are against different bars and restaurant owners accused of operating illegal gaming machines in their business. Assistant Attorney General Matthew Enenbach is handling the cases.
