Golden Nugget Las Vegas Receives Four-Star Award

The Four Stars awarded by Mobil signify to the public that the Golden Nugget is a premier establishment, the only such one in downtown Las Vegas.

This year's Four-Star Award winners represent the top two percent of 22,000 dining and lodging establishments quality-rated across the United States and parts of Canada. Only five establishments in Las Vegas and 405 properties overall were awarded the coveted Four-Star rating. Four-Star award-winning criteria include attention to detail, efficiency and a feeling that guest comfort and convenience are the prevailing concern of the staff

"Having the Mobil Four-Star Award bestowed upon us is an honor that we don't take for granted," said Bob Sheldon, President of the Golden Nugget. "The employees continually work hard to ensure that we're giving our guests excellent service. We couldn't achieve this distinction without their dedication."

Since its opening in 1946, the Golden Nugget has set the standard for elegance in Las Vegas. The graceful decor of the Golden Nugget subtly unites the senses in comfort and elegance.

Program Advisor to Mobil Corporation Mark Jacobson said, "Establishments receiving Four-Star awards have their own style and personality. Every year our evaluation committee anonymously evaluates establishments before awarding, the trusted Mobil Four-Stars."

Thousands of dining and lodging establishments are visited each year by Mobil Travel Guide field representatives. Their reports, along with letters from guests and visits by senior evaluators, contribute to the final ratings. No rating Is automatically renewed - properties can and often do gain or lose stars in a year's time.
