Loto-Quebec and the Bingo Industry Secretariat announced Monday the launch of a new tool to help the promotion of bingo halls that will enable players a second chance to win the jackpot. The bingo game sector has been going through difficulties during the recent years when many bingo halls saw a drop in their revenues.
According to the new promotional tool, a second chance draw will be held on the internet. Loto-Qu?becs research and development subsidiary, Ingenio, will create the internet promotional game. Le Tour 2e chance is designated for players who took part in SBQs Le Grand Tour or Le Petit Tour network bingo games and did not win. Any player who holds a non-winning bingo card can participate in the game within 48 hours after the first draw.
The Bingo Secretariat is a public organization that includes five representatives named by the sector, including three organizations of holding bingo hall licenses. The Secretariats purpose is to support the development of bingo as a tool for the benefiting community activities through non-profit organizations.
