The online poker room Poker Eon announced Friday the launch of a new series of online poker tournaments with a guaranteed prize of a seat at the 2.5 million dollars BC Poker Championship. The 5,000 dollars prize package includes travel and accommodation expenses.
The final events of the BC Poker Championship will take place between November 23 and November 26, 2006 at The River Rock Casino Resort, Vancouver, British Columbia, which has the biggest poker room in Canada.
About 1,000 players are expected to take part at the BC Poker Championship final event. The 2005 BC Poker Champion, James Hawkins took home an amount of 300,000 dollars.
Poker Eon players can either buy in to the final event or winning the qualifiers. The final online poker qualifier will be held on October 29, 2006 at Poker Eon online poker room. Poker Eon continues to host qualifiers for the Classic Poker final event at Barcelona.
